It is a non-surgical sweat reduction treatment procedure performed under local anaesthetic that delivers electromagnetic (microwave) energy to the underarm sweat glands to permanently eliminate them.
This treatment is expensive though. Treatments run about $2000. Treatment in each armpit take about 45 minutes. Post treatment can be painful and uncomfortable.
You can get bumps, swelling and nodules. For some people, they feel like they are getting a sunburn. And it could last for weeks.
There are things you shouldn’t do right after the treatment. Like, using deodorants or Antiperspirants, shaving or plucking your armpit hairs, doing strenuous activities such as working out and lifting heavy weights.

Speaking only from my personal experience, I found that Iontophoresis is the best option for you to use as treatment of your hand and feet hyperhidrosis based on these following reasons:
• It is safer. There are no bad side effects.
• It is convenient. You can do the treatment at the comfort of your home.
• It is cost-effective. Producing good results without costing a lot of money most especially in the long run.
Iontophoresis gave me the relief that I was so desperately looking for.

Some also experienced Night sweats, Cold feet, Excessive body heat as side effects. Hence, it’s not a preferred choice as initial treatment. Actually, ETS surgery is extremely risky and it should only be your last resort.
There are reports that some patient’s compensatory sweating are getting worse and worse through time. They have compensatory sweating in their feet, belly, forehead and back. Some worse side effects only shows after 5 years or more.

If the nocturnal sweating is not due to a health condition, Eating too much spicy foods and greasy foods, too much alcohol consumption, using warm blankets or heating can also lead to excessive nocturnal sweating.
Other causes maybe due to a variety of drugs, hormonal fluctuations, mental stress or due to a viral disease. You should contact a doctor in the case of regular excessive sweating during sleep, whether the problem occurs during the day or at night.
