I've had excessive sweating since grade 12 in my armpits, head, back, everywhere!!! I have finally found a medication that has worked and I want to help other people as I know how little info there is out there on how to help the really bad sweaters like me. I went to a dermatologist and he recommended Glycopyrrolate.

I asked my doctor about Glycopyrrolate and its ability to block whole body sweating by shutting down sweat receptors. He says it has side effects but worth it if you are serious about stopping sweat. Mine stops at least 80-90% sweat.

Completely right! I have been using Glycopyrollate for about 3 years and it works! It decreases aLL my body sweat by about 90 percent. Dosage per day may vary, depending on you weight and gender.

Glycopyrollate has side effects! It decreases the amount of saliva that your mouth produces, effectively and directly increasing the amount of cavities the user eventually gets and decreasing dental health over all. In other words, while using Glycopyrollate make sure to increase dental care.

I personally do not want to decrease my dental health. But as far as controlling my hyperhidrosis, iontophoresis works with no side effects you should give it a try! I tried it and it worked for me – I use the Idromed 5PC iontophoresis machine and in the beginning I used it every day for two weeks and then suddenly i was dry! Since then I've just been doing maintenance treatments. It really has changed my life!

The treatment depends on the type of hyperhidrosis and where the excessive sweating occurs on the body. You can consult dermatologists as they also consider your overall health and other factors.

Hi! I have bad sweating on my face and neck. I have tried everything including Apple Cider Vinegar with water. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Try botox injections. It blocks the nerves that trigger the sweat glands. Patients with hyperhidrosis may need several injections for effective results.

It is only natural for people to sweat. As a matter of fact, people need to sweat so that they can release toxins from the body. There are some people who sweat too much and this might mean that they are just feeling extremely hot or they have undergone a strenuous type of workout. There is also a possibility that they are suffering from Hyperhidrosis.

The best that works for me is thru lemon. It is known to be a good remedy that can be used to get rid of sweating. The main reason why it can help is because it contains citric acid. This can help eliminate the bacteria that might be left on the skin because of the sweat. Do remember to apply it before going to bed at night. It will not only make you sweat less, it may even whiten your underarms or the part of your body that needs to be treated for excessive sweating.

        Here's what I do:

        1. Mix lemon juice from 1 whole lemon with baking soda.
        2. Mix them together to form a paste.
        3. Place the mixture on the affected area.
        4. Leave on the mixture for about half an hour.
        5. Wash off with cold water.

It was same deal for me. You can schedule an appointment with your doctor. I never got prescribed the medication that works until my doctor referred me to a dermatologist. Dermatologist is your best bet as they usually are the ones to refer people to get botox etc. But it's hard to straight up see a derma without seeing a doctor first. Usually once you explain your symptoms they already know something about it, or they will refer you to a derma as most doctors aren't very educated on this matter because they do not understand the emotional aspect of it. So my best bet is to see a doctor and explain all the symptoms.

I actually have anxiety as well so seeing the doctors took me a few years. I regret not going to a doctor sooner. So if I can say anything to help, it's please see a doctor and explain both physical and emotional symptoms.

For me it is iontophoresis. At first glance, an iontophoresis device may seem pricey, but the expense is relatively reasonable when you realize that the devices last for many years. You can also self-manage your treatments, and devices can be shared among family members as hyperhidrosis frequently runs in families.

Additional advantage is, health insurance often covers the cost of an iontophoresis device and sometimes “rent-to-own” is an option.

        Good day!
I was also experiencing a hyperhidrosis and i knew what it really feels like being sweats from time to time, i really hate the feeling of being embarrassed due to armpits stains which is very noticeable, Gosh i lost my confidence every time I am in front of other people.
I knew this would affect my social life so i used different remedies just to get rid of this problem. Lucky me I found the ItsDri undershirt though this undershirt did not rid 100% myself from being sweaty atleast it makes me sweat less and hides the sweat marks in my shirts, moreover it is really comfy to wear.

I have all over Hyperhidrosis. Using lemon or vinegar etc is pretty useless. My head to toe can be drenched in minutes. Put my glasses on my head and they steam up. After watching a documentary I started taking Oxybutinin Hydrochloride. Within two days I was normal again. Botox is ok with localised Hyperhidrosis, I wouldn't want injections all over my body. With these pills I can sit in a chair, sleep away from home and live dry.

We do not know whether natural remedies are effective in the treatment of hyperhidrosis. But we want you to find relief and to make healthy choices. So, if you are interested in trying natural remedies, please keep the following tips in mind: Discuss any natural remedies that you may be considering with your physician. Natural remedies can be powerful and so your doctor will want to discuss any potential contra-indications and to warn you about potential side effects.Tell your physician about any and all herbal supplements, vitamins, and over-the-counter and prescription medicines that you may be taking. This is important because over-the-counter products, prescription medicines, herbs, and supplements have the potential to interact with each other – sometimes dangerously.Hope this would help.

        hi,
I started to experience excessive sweating from my anal region. It does not smell, in fact, it is quite sweet smelling. But it creates all sorts of problems including soaking my underwear and pants and creating rashes. I've been on the search for months trying to find a solution. Unfortunately I've mostly found that I'm not alone and learned some techniques to deal with it. Namely, I used a tissue to place in the crack of my butt. Usually absorbs most of the sweat. I change this anywhere from every hour to every couple of hours. Still, there have been times that I find the sweat leaks through and people, most likely, have noticed the sweat streak! If I find a solution, I'll get back to you.

        hi,
I love summer but I dread going out to places with friends in fear of embarrassment from my under arm odor. I take 2 showers a day and as soon as I get out I put deodorant and I’m back to smelling 5 minutes later. I have tried everything! This problem has affected every part of my life, from going places, being intimate, picking out clothes, hanging out with friends and being active. My mom says it will go away but it hasn’t and I’m sick of it and I’m too scared to try any of those treatments and other things you can do to prevent it. Please help I need some reminders or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Ever heard of aluminum chloride hexahydrate? It's when regular antiperspirants fail, as they often do, to remedy hyperhidrosis, most doctors start by recommending aluminum chloride hexahydrate, a prescription-strength version of aluminum chloride.

The process is to apply the product just before going to bed seven to 10 nights in a row, then roughly once a week as a maintenance medication. The aluminum salts in this preparation collect in the sweat ducts of the patient and block them. Over time, the excessive perspiration may decrease to such an extent that no further treatment is needed. This method works well for many patients whose problem is excessive underarm sweating, but it's not satisfactory for most of those with clammy palms and sweating of the soles of the feet and other parts of the body.

The main side effect with of this prescription version is irritation, which can sometimes be overcome by reducing the frequency of use or applying anti-inflammatory medications such as lotions containing hydrocortisone.

Well, I had Botox to treat my excessive sweating. Botox injections block the nerves that trigger the sweat glands. I had several sessions before I got the desired results. My doctor recommended it. It is just expensive but really effective.

I had a very bad sweating all over my body and I have tried everything from natural cure as Tomato Juice, Sage tea, Apple Cider Vinegar etc. but none of them really helps. So I bought an iontophoresis machine. Iontophoresis works with no side effects so I suggest you should give it a try! I used the Idromed 5PC iontophoresis machine. At first I used it every day for two weeks and then I became dry. Since then I've just been doing maintenance treatments and I am fine, I haven't experience any side effects until now. It really has changed my life.

Im interested in trying the iontophoresis machine and just wondered if it would work for my upper torso? I've seen it can work for the face which I also need but I suffer from seating all over really.

        Hi all,

may I ask if anyone here knows of a hiperhidrosis specialist in London or could refer me to a doctor that can possibly prescribe this glycopyrrolate?

I suffer from extreme sweating, mainly head and face but all over body also. Like a 5 min slow walk to the shop and back makes me look like I ran a marathon and stood underneath a waterfall. I've spoken to over a dozen doctors who all more or less had zero knowledge on the topic and were little help.

When I asked the latest doctor, she mentioned bromide wasn't available for prescription via the NHS and she couldn't help me any further. Any useful advise would really be appreciated very much. Thank you.

The sweating after just 5 mins walking sounds all to familiar and am based in London too. I'm currently trying to experiment with acupuncture to see if it can help with my HH, I have only had 2 sessions so far but I will keep you updated should I have success with this treatment (fingers crossed).
