hi! I’m Kim, mom to 5 wonderful kiddos! I had endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy in 2000, when I only had 2 children. I can remember when my 1st 2 were born, people would ask to hold them and I’d claim they wet through their diapers when in reality, I was using their blankets to dry my hands! (Omg Ik) my hands and feet would drip non stop. Seriously. Non. Stop. I’d sign papers and leave a puddle. Read to my babies and sweat would literally drip from my hands. Dating was a NIGHTMARE! As long as I’m wearing cotton socks, my feet don’t sweat as bad. But tbh, just writing about them is making them sweat! The ETS was honestly life changing! I know there’s a lot of controversy but I have zero regrets! My relief was immediate. I remember waking up to dry hands and crying tears of joy. My confidence soared! I know that might sound strange but I could actually SHAKE HANDS! It was wonderful! For several years I would have nightmares that the sweaty hands came back! I had Some compensatory sweating at first but that’s all but gone. Now about the “strappy sandals”. I’ve tried everything OTC and Rx for my sweaty feet and have found no relief at all. It makes me so sad to see other girls wearing cute shoes and sandals in the summer and I’m making excuses as to why I’m always wearing tennis shoes. From my back hurts, to going to the gym later to whatever! Winter is AWESOME because I don’t have to have cute shoe envy! Lol I’ve yet to try iontopheresis (so) but am going to order one this month! Anyone had luck with them? I’d love to hear details and tips!
