Hi I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am. I have been following talks about hyperhidrosis for years because my 13 year old son has suffered alot over the past 11 years. He has palmer, plantar and axillary hyperhidrosis. He struggles to write hand out with friends and just generally be comfortable in his own skin. We live in Sydney Australia where it gets really hot! We have done iontophoresis and topical treatments all which were a hassle and made his hands peel. He had had enough so we went to a specialist skin clinic and got him Botox injections into the hands and all I can say is WOW!!!! I could cry from happiness his hands are completely dry we will never look back. It’s really hot today and the heat is not bothering him at all he just said mum I’m so happy this is the best thing ever and off he went on his scooter with his friends in the blistering heat smile from ear to ear without a care in the world I just had to share it!!

Aside from excessive sweating of my hands, I also developed itchy eczema on my fingers. So I had to find the right treatment for me, I had heard Botox was an effective treatment, but other methods had to be attempted first in order to get insurance approval. To make the long story short, I was approved, then I had my botox three months ago. I cannot say it is pain-free, but the pain is tolerable. Despite having a topical numbing cream put on my palms, I still felt the deep sting of each injection — all 78 of them. For hours after the treatment, my fingers were swollen and hard to move. But as long as my hands stay dry, I’ll take it.
