I'm a dermatologist, and in my son's school, I helped organize an educational panel that taught children what hyperhidrosis is. We had a short lecture, a workshop and a discussion. They have several children in school with the hyperhidrosis condition, so they talked about it and we all talked more about it. It was meant to raise hyperhidrosis awareness among children, partly because they had several cases of (luckily mild) bullying aimed at said children with excessive sweat problem.
My son tells me that this did help somewhat. While there are still bullies, most of the children are being more understanding and nicer toward their classmates with hyperhidrosis. I think it would be great if more schools held such events, to educate children, promote tolerant behavior and raise hyperhidrosis awareness.
