Nooo! What were you thinking? Eco-leather and leather and any materials of the sort are the worst thing for any hyperhidrosis patients. Heck, even people who don't suffer from excessive sweat start sweating profusely when sitting on such chairs and couches…

How about you cover the couch with one thicker layer of material that will allow your skin to breathe, but then also cover that with another layer: a sheet of some cool natural material that minimizes your excessive sweat. You will need a sort of barrier between yourself and the couch, it needs to be thick but cooling, so I think that 2-layers of couch cover would work best. Cash out some money and get the upper layer made from some expensive hyperhidrosis friendly material. Use the same for chairs too.

Oh I see. And no, I am not buying an iontophoresis device – as I said, I'm just generally curious. And, I really already have my own iontophoresis device, and it works fine against my sweaty feet. So, no worries. 🙂

However, I saw the Fischer Galvanic discount code here on the website, and came back to see what that renting business is all about.

In the end, the only thing I might do is actually rent Fischer Galvanic for a month, just to compare its performance with my current device. That sounds like a good and fair idea, right? And you know, technology moves forward, so it is always good to try out new models.

Now I don't understand. Many manufacturers have a sound return policy for iontophoresis machines. I know that Hidrex does, and Idromed does too (up to 8 weeks!), and Fischer Galvanic probably also has one… And probably others do, too.

What's the great advantage of renting-to-try-it-out, if you can simply order the device, also try it out – use it for a few weeks to see if it can actually reduce sweating, and then if it you are not satisfied, you just return it and get a refund! Maybe you will have to pay the posting costs, but they can't be bigger than a renting cost.

So, what's the deal? I don't want to be rude here, I am just generally curious! =)

What Wallace said is good. 🙂 In any case, try to use as little water as possible, because that how you get the best results, or at least that's how it works for me. I don't know exactly why, but I think that gratuitous amounts of water weaken the power of the current, or something like that.

        Hello!
Sometimes the problem is not in the quality of water, but in quantity! People tend to forget that. In iontophoresis, less is more – use too much water and this will negatively affect the intensity of the treatment.
For me tap water is fine, but I use only the necessary minimum amount, just enough to completely cover the soles of my feet.

Which professional iontophoresis machine are you using? Would you mind dropping in a review?

Currently I'm using HidrexGS400, and sure, I'll gladly give some feedback where it can be useful to everybody! 😀
This is my third Iontophoresis machine – the first one was a clumsily done do-it-yourself device and the second one Iomed. In my experience, Hidrex is the best of the lot, but I'm aware that this is often individual…
I think do-it-yourself devices can be good if your machine-building skills are good. Mine weren't. 😳

Sweetie, just tell them off – they should mind their own business! I don't advocate fighting or mutual insults, but if they are throwing nasty remarks to you, you're not obliged to play miss proper either! 😉
Just tell them to steer cleer of you – after all, if they find your excessive sweating repulsive, they should be more than happy to do so! Then keep your head up and forget about them as soon as they're out of sight. 😉
Really, some people.. Excess sweating is not a choice – if we knew how to not sweat, we'd all be dry all the time!

        Hello!
Do it yourself Iontophoresis works for some people, so maybe it's not bad to at least try it out if you know how to properly build one. Make sure that your uncle knows how to set the current, and you can look into some step-by-step guides online. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOQfjZ9-Akw

However, I will add that DIY Iontophoresis did not work for me. I couldn't set the voltage just right and the results were virtually non-existent. 🙁 I have a professional device now.
