  • Hi,

Did you hear that lemon juice is supposed to help reduce sweating? I read many advices which recommend applying lemon juice to armpits in the evening, and so on. Okay, I get that. However, I'm surprised by some of the suggestions I saw – that adding lemon juice to the tap water in iontophoresis helps increase its effects! I mean, does that…[Read more]

  • What is the most lightweight Iontophoresis device? I want to save up and buy one, but I really need one that is easy to carry around. I am fairly short and don't have a lot of muscle mass, heh, so even a small difference in weight makes a big difference to me. πŸ˜€

Naturally, the quality is the most important thing here – actually, quality & price…[Read more]

  • Well, not only workplace, but also career in general. Is hyperhidrosis affecting your professional life a lot? Can you find a way around it?

What careers should I cross out from the start if I have mild palmar hyperhidrosis? I also have sweaty feet, but this is less obvious in everyday life.

Wiser and more experienced HH sufferers, please…[Read more]

  • Thank you, both of you. Much appreciated! πŸ™‚
I will talk to my professor and a counselor and see what the school's take on this is. As much as I dislike being marked as a student with a “disability”, it's still better than flunking. I'm guessing they might require some medical reports – currently I don't have this, but I planned on seeing a…[Read more]

  • Help! My sweaty hands are getting wetter and wetter, and this year was the worst one so far. I have several weeks now to find the solution, otherwise I'll be flunking everything once new semester starts!
My method up until now was to use a plain white cloth handkerchief, keep it on the table and wipe my hands against it during the exam.…[Read more]

  • Heh thanks… I asked because I wasn't sure just HOW absorbent they are. Then again, it doesn't really matter, because my excessive sweating isn't THAT bad. I mean, I don't walk in puddles or anything. Luckily. YET. I hope I can keep it that way, so these advices are much, much appreciated! πŸ˜€ 😎

  • Thanks for the useful input, guys! (and girlz! ;))

Ask yourself a few questions – how badly does perspiration affect your everyday life? Does it happen for no apparent reason? If your answers are yes, it’s likely that you really have hyperhidrosis.

Yes and Yes. So that would mean i need professional help, huh? πŸ™ Not a happy thought… But I was…[Read more]

  • Will this stuff stop my sweaty feet from getting slippery? I reeeaaally need that! Yet I bet this footwear is all super special and who knows if my parents would give me the cash to buy a pair. 😐 πŸ˜•
Hmm, should be able to afford flip-flops, however. It would be a lifesaver, since I hate wearing socks in the summer. Now if only I…[Read more]

    Helloooo! πŸ˜€

  • I guess there are two answers to this question. I first noticed that I sweat a lot when I was 14. I started to use antiperspirants and that solved the problem – so obviously my underarm sweat isn't caused by hyperhidrosis. At the same time, I noticed that I have an issue with sweaty palms and feet. I thought it is normal and that it would go away…[Read more]

  • I sweat a lot when under stress. Apart from during school exams, this also happens during arguments with my friends (yeah, no comment but some of them can be mean ***) or when I feel nervous because I have to stand up in front of the class and read my report out loud. Stuff like that. It would be so easy to deal with heavy sweating if only we…[Read more]

  • Hello everyone.

I'm 18 years old and have some problems with excessive sweating, but I am not sure if they are bad enough to be called hyperhidrosis.
How can I tell if I have hyper hydrosis? My palms get moisty often, but they are not dripping. Is it only hyperhidrosis when sweaty plams are extremely wet? What is the difference between heavy…[Read more]
