Lucas started the topic Pain after the miraDry procedure in the forum MiraDry Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
Ouch! Reading testimonials online, I found that some people experienced sore underarms up to 5 weeks after the procedure.
Also, there are reported burns and bruises, something which worries me a little. I would guess that it's no worse than Botox, but I guess I can't be sure, huh? Treating one's sensitive body part to microwaves seems…[Read more]

Toby started the topic Treating back sweating with Hidrex in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
Trying to find something that could put an end to my night sweating & back sweating, I ran into this:
Ordering this on top of the regular Hidrex package should make it possible to treat back (or chest) sweating. I tried looking for some more information on this, and according to the guys from Hidrex, a lot of these…[Read more]

Toby started the topic Night Sweating & Antiperspirants β help! in the forum Antiperspirants Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
I know it's a common rule to apply antiperspirants in the evening, after the shower, because that is when we are supposed to sweat less. That way, the antiperspirants have enough time to work their magic before we get sweaty. Okay, I get that, but what do I do when I sweat at night?
I have to deal with some excessive sweating during the day, and…[Read more]

I'd like to hijack this thread and add an additional question: can you please add, when listing recommendations, if these teas can be taken without sugar? For some reason I can't stand tea with sugar – I only drink those that are tasty even without any kind of sweeteners.
Elena, are any of brands you tried tasty enough to be taken without sugar?…[Read more]

Ramona started the topic Antiperspirants with a nice scent? in the forum Antiperspirants Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
All professional antiperspirants I used so far had some kind of bland scent… Or even worse, a non-existent or unpleasant scent. :/
Maybe I am way too picky, but it would be really nice to find a clinical antiperspirant that actually has a nice, pleasant, feminine scent. I don't like strong perfumes, and before I started having problems with…[Read more]

As you can see from my earlier posts, I'm something of a nervous freak and often get sweaty when feeling anxious. This sweat is too excessive to be normal, so I pretty much have some kind of hyperhidrosis.
Typically I have excess sweat on my underarms and face, but other areas (like hands) can be affected also.
This all started a few years back,…[Read more] -

I'm a bit late with this reply, but thanks guys!
Hmm I didn't know that about cornstarch vs. talcum powder. Sounds nasty. π― I'll make sure to buy the right one in the future.
Anyway for the time being I focused on applying antiperspirants on my underarms. I use baby powder, but mostly on my back to keep my shirts from sticking to my skin.

This new kind of hyperhidrosis treatment (or hyperhidrosis cure if it is really permanent) looks tempting but still has me puzzled. I'm waiting until other people's experience proves this to be the real dealβ¦
Please, if anyone here has some experience with this treatment, share it! π I would like to know if miraDry worked for you… Did you g…[Read more] -

Hi!
I am looking for an advice. Did anyone here use iontophoresis to treat axillary hyperhidrosis? From what I read, iontophoresis is not typically used on sweaty armpits… BUT, since many high quality iontophoresis devices today have special sponges for armpits, technically it can be done. My question is – how well does if work? Does it stop…[Read more] -

A big part of my excess sweating is centered on my upper body and I have problems keeping the stains off my shirts. Antiperspirants help to a point, but eventually I always end up with wet, sweaty armpits. Trying to figure out how to stop underarm sweating, I heard that baby powder can help with this β especially if antiperspirants aren't e…[Read more]

Hi,
I would love to learn more about oral medication for hyperhidrosis and I have no idea where to start. Is this even a good method to stop excessive sweating?
For the last couple of days I've been trying to learn if meds make a good excessive sweating treatment and still don't know what to think about it.
Seems like the downside are possible…[Read more]-
What kind of hh do you have? I took oxybutinin which is a generic used for incontinence I believe (I didn't have that issue but it has a drying effect, I'd say its somewhat helpful but its not a miracle by any means!

Hi! I mostly have problems with facial sweating and underarm sweating. My hands and feet can also get bad, but mostly when Iβm extremely nervous and anxious. (My hh is often triggered by anxiety.)

Thank you! I added you to my friends list and I'm looking forward to your messages. π
Ah and you're still young, don't let heavy sweating affect your life too much. Everyone has flaws and problems, even people who are not sweating profusely… Nobody is perfect so there's no need to be nervous about your excess sweating. Remember that. π -
Lucas replied to the topic How to Play Video Games with Sweaty Hands in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 10 months ago
Awesome, let me know how it goes! It takes some getting used to since the “feel” is definitely not the same when holding the controller/using keyboard over the wrap with sweaty palms – it's sometimes even slippery if you are sweating profusely. Still, it's a relief not having to trap my sweaty hands into gloves. And replacing wrap is much easier…[Read more]

Toby started the topic Sweating at night in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 10 months ago
A few weeks ago I mentioned my problems with night sweating, partly due to my overactive sweat glands and partly due to the fact we don't have an air conditioner in the bedroom. Since then, my night sweating got even worse.
I've grown extremely tired thanks to waking up 3-4 times every night. Changing my clothes doesn't help, because the sheets…[Read more] -

My life is in pieces. I got dumped 2 months ago and it still hurts. I lost my job less than a year ago and am still unemployed. I know I really lost it because we live in bad times… But for a while, I was pretty frustrated thinking the reason was my excessive sweating. I often had to wear underarm sweat pads and some of my colleagues complained…[Read more]
