Hi!
Are there any gamers here? Either way, it won't harm if I share some awesome tips for playing video games with sweaty hands. In fact, I have one ultimate tip, and it boils down to two words: Plastic wrap. Yes, the good old ordinary transparent plastic wrap, typically used to pack food leftovers. How this works:

As someone who had Botox treatments for axillary hyperhidrosis in the past, I'm really excited about this! 😯
Unfortunately, this is the first time I hear about this type of hyperhidrosis treatment, and at the moment I am trying to find more information online, without any real success. Even at the Alma Lasers official website, this here is the…[Read more] -

Hi everyone!
Being new in this community, I would really like to get to know people, and this seemed like a good way to connect and maybe even find some friends. 🙂 I would love to hear your stories, so I guess it's only fair that I share my own first…
I'm in my mid-thirties and so far I have tried out various treatments to deal with…[Read more]

Lucas replied to the topic Fischer Galvanic: Analog (MD-1a) VS. Digital (MD-2) in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
Hi. My opinion is that MD-1a leaves much to be desired. I sweat a lot and I used both R.A. Fischers and MD-2 is a huge improvement – just look at those listed features carefully and you'll understand what I mean if you think about it for a moment. An iontophoresis machine is something you'll have to use indefinitely if you want to stop sweating.…[Read more]

Seems like we might get detailed information about miraDry from the company itself!
Our webmaster wrote to them and is trying to conduct an interview that might shed more light on the specifics of this hyperhidrosis cure.

Tim Fleiss started the topic Compensatory Sweating in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
From what I understand, compensatory sweating is only supposed to happen as a consequence of ETS – hypohondrosis surgery. I wanted to check if this is true and would appreciate if you can write your own experiences.
I would like to be absolutely positive that compensatory sweating doesn't happen if you use:
– clinical antiperspirants

my opinion is that a good Yoga instructor is invaluable. DVDs can hardly replace a real live class
Even when I'm not sweating too much, I don't feel comfortable in rooms full of people, which is why I would prefer taking Yoga lessons at home. I can imagine a lot of people are sweating a lot during Yoga classes, but even with that I think that…[Read more]

Ramona replied to the topic How to deal with rude people in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
This is why strangers make me nervous. I just tend to avoid people I don't know, especially if I'm sweating profusely and drawing additional attention to myself. All of us sweating too much should stick together! As for the topic question… I deal with rude people by avoiding them. Even if I don't know how to prevent sweating, I know how to…[Read more]

Hello! Aruna gave you a good advice: that's the best course of action.
However, if it turns out that your school or professor show no understanding, you can always use latex gloves as an emergency tool. It's highly uncomfortable, I know, but if your sweaty hands aren't literally dripping, you might be able to pull of shorter exams this way. Just…[Read more] -
Toby started the topic Excessive sweating as a symptom of serious medical condition in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
I do not have a “serious medical condition”, but recently I read a story of a woman who thought she had hyperhidrosis, but it turned out her sweating was caused by a dangerous liver malfunction. This story scared me and reminded me how excessive perspiration can be a sign of a serious health problem. I had consulted my physician earlier and know…[Read more]

Some of my friends are gossipy and immature, and confiding this to them could backfire sooner or later.
Not to be patronizing, but… It's normal that we have all kinds of friends and “friends” when younger, but as time passes, try to filter these people, and keep only the nicest and best ones close. Of course if someone is immature it doesn't…[Read more]

All right, that's true – a price has more sense if this hyperhidrosis treatment offers a permanent solution. It's still a new procedure however, so I doubt anyone can guarantee a 100% success rate. And what about the possible side effects? If all turns out to be good in a few years miraDry could be a real deal – I'll give you that.

That's an amusing advice, Jenny… I can see how it can be useful, especially as an antidote for sulking. 😀
I have one thing to add to that: don't get carried away!
I'm sure this works lovely when kept under control and used in very small doses. However, if it gets out of hand you might end up constantly frustrated because of your excess…[Read more] -
Ramona replied to the topic Do I have hyperhidrosis? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
From the looks of it, perhaps I do not have hyperhidrosis after all… In my case, every episode of profuse sweating gets triggered by increased nervousness and anxiety. When this happens, I have problems with everything: excessive armpit sweating, excessive head sweating… I also tend to get sweaty palms and feet – and especially palms.…[Read more]

Hi Sean, can you please tell me if Yoga has a calming effect on you? I mean, psychologically? Apparently Yoga can be used to achieve mild forms of meditation, and it seems like something that could give me peace, and at the same time keep me from sweating too much.
Umm, but I wouldn't really like taking Yoga classes… the idea makes me…[Read more] -

I finally found the time to check this link out and I even solved the anxiety test over there. Is says I suffer from moderate general anxiety. When it comes to specific anxiety levels, social anxiety and agoraphobia are severe. I am not surprised by this. ^__^

Fairly expensive? It seems to me it's more like.. jaw-dropping costly! If I'm not mistaken, you can consider yourself lucky if you spend less than 2 or 3 thousands of dollars. 😯
To be fair, I don't know very much about miraDry, so maybe it's worth it. Did anyone stop excessive sweating this way? How long did the effects last?

Tim Fleiss started the topic miraDry in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 11 months ago
Once upon a time, I was reluctant to choose this to be my first serious hyperhidrosis treatment, since it was still fairly new and felt as if it's “in development”. Now, two years after it's been approved by FDA, I feel this is something that could prove to be a great alternative to Botox treatments.
Given that I'm strongly considering miraDry…[Read more]
