Plastic Pete replied to the topic Tea Tree Oil for Plantar Hyperhidrosis in the forum Alternative Treatment Forum 11 years, 3 months ago
Oh yes, that’s great! I don’t use it regularly on my feet, but we always keep a bottle in the house. It has many uses, pretty much a little miracle worker.
For example, check this out: 20 Great uses to Tea Tree OilElena are you having any success with it? How often do you apply it? I take it about twice a month, mostly for its antifungal properties.

Plastic Pete started the topic Am I overdoing it? in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 11 years, 3 months ago
For the past 2 weeks I had iontophoresis every single day (except Sundays.. got to take a break sometimes. :D)
Anyway, my skin could take it, so that means zero problems with irritation etc…
What happened is that two weeks ago I had so-so results, then this started to improve, more and more… About five days ago my feet were completely dry!…[Read more] -

Plastic Pete replied to the topic ETS is risky? So why do people do it? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Surgery Forum 11 years, 3 months ago
From what I understand, it works like this: some people reach the point where they are so desperate and unhappy about their excessive sweating, that anything else seems like a better option. I’m talking sheer desperation here… :/
So, despite all warnings, all bad testimonials, all horror stories and proven side effects, they are thinking…[Read more]

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Fischer Galvanic: Analog (MD-1a) VS. Digital (MD-2) in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 11 years, 4 months ago
In the end I opted for a Digital Fischer Galvanic Unit. So far I am happy with my choice. MD-2 looks really good, precise and is easily programmable. 🙂
The first treatments went ok, but I am still waiting for full results to show. I will switch over to maintenance treatments probably in about 10 days or something like that. Wish me luck! -
Plastic Pete replied to the topic Pain after the miraDry procedure in the forum MiraDry Forum 11 years, 4 months ago
How does this pain compare to post-Botox procedure pain? I thought Botox pain also lasts for weeks. I’m pretty sure I have read something along this line – especially when it comes to underarms, a very sensitive area.
To me it looks like miraDry’s pain isn’t all that unusual. And you only have to go through it once! To me it seems healthier & in…[Read more]

Plastic Pete started the topic Fischer Galvanic: Analog (MD-1a) VS. Digital (MD-2) in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 5 months ago
After talking to my doctor and looking into my health plan, I have discovered that I can get a prescription to buy an R.A. Fischer Galvanic iontophoresis unit. Unfortunately, if I want the said prescription and a financial reimbursement from my health plan, my choices are limited – it pretty much comes to Analog vs. Digital Fischer model.
I did…[Read more]

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Hidrex Iontophoresis Machines in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
Sorry to hear your daughter got hyperhidrosis at such young age. Must have been difficult.
As for the rest of your post – wow, that sounds pretty great! I would like to get a Hidrex machine to stop excessive sweating on my feet, and it seems that PSP 1000 is a versatile thingy that can deal with this quite nicely. 🙂 I’m glad to hear they ship…[Read more] -
Plastic Pete replied to the topic Footwear for Hyperhidrosis in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
Well, yeah, as the name says, absorbent flip-flops absorb sweat, helping your sweaty feet to dry off faster than usual. They won’t neutralize excessive sweating, but they shouldn’t be slippery either. 😉 And flip-flops are a good choice for this time of year. I hope you’ll find a perfect and affordable pair for yourself. 🙂

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Do you know anyone else with hyperhidrosis in RL? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
I know some people who sweat profusely, but I couldn’t say if they actually have hyperhidrosis. Well, either way, we don’t hang out and we never talked about excessive perspiration… So I suppose my answer to this thread would be: no.
In real life, people don’t like talking about this, so I’m not surprised we all feel isolated and alone. A pity,…[Read more]

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Have you tried Iontophoresis? DId it work for you? in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
My doctor currently doesn’t have an Iontophoresis machine so I’m in the process of looking for a place where I could rent one, or just try several treatments and see how effective Iontophoresis is for my plantar hyperhidrosis.
It seems to be one of a good hyperhidrosis cure for many who tried it, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. With some luck,…[Read more]

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Age and Hyperhidrosis in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
Ahem, sorry to ruin the mood, but I must and say that my sweaty feet got worse over the years. However, I am also out of shape at the moment, so that is a possible reason. Also, it depends on the shoes and sneakers I wear.
My night sweating also got worse – but once again, I’m blaming that on all the extra weight I’m packing. 😕

Plastic Pete replied to the topic Have you tried Botox treatments? in the forum Botox For Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
I am interested in a Botox hyperhidrosis treatment for my feet, but from what I have read, this is not usually used to treat plantar hyperhidrosis. It can be done, but takes a lot of Botox units and injections – making it costly, right?
As for bad side effects, I guess if actors can stuff their faces with it, it is okay to use it on feet as well.…[Read more] -
Plastic Pete replied to the topic Why is sweating being so condemned in our society? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 11 years, 6 months ago
Condemned? Would sooner say that people simply tend to run away from things they find uncomfortable – such as odor. And excessive sweating always makes people think of nasty odors. They don’t like it, so they mock heavy sweating – any sweating, really – and look down on it. I think it all boils down to a simple human reaction.
