Hi William,
Yes, I was just about to answer you that it wouldn't…
As for your second question, I think it should be possible to use custom tubs for your feet – this way you could treat the entire sweaty area on your feet. You just choose the right size and the materials when buying tubs, and I think this might work.
However, if the skin…[Read more]

JennyDale started the topic Summer Alert! in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 9 years, 11 months ago
Okay, sure, it's not summer yet, but it will be here soon, and already (where I live) we are experiencing days of increased heat… And I don't need to say that this means more and more excessive sweat (for me and pretty much everyone else with hyperhidrosis.)
So: preparing for summer. How do you do it? How do you prepare physically? How do you…[Read more]

Hi, Hillarie, welcome and please feel free to register and fully join us. 😉
About your question: I am not sure if I understand exactly what is it that you're looking for – do you need an aluminum-free antiperspirant, or are you specifically looking for a deodorant?
I am asking because, contrary to what you seem to believe, there actually are…[Read more] -

Lucas replied to the topic How long did it take you to get the most out of Iontophoresis? in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years ago
Hey, I'm pretty much a newbie, only been doing iontophoresis for months now, but here it is: I think it took me about 5 weeks to get everything working just right.
My iontophoresis device is Idrostar + and it is supposed to be a high profile device. In my experience, despite that, it did take some getting used to, and for a while even after I…[Read more]

Mary-Jane Thompson started the topic Sweat Cost Calculator on miraDry Website in the forum MiraDry Forum 10 years ago
This is scary!!
I'm thinking about undergoing a miraDry procedure for my underarm sweating. And, while surfing on their website, I found this simple, and yet telling “sweat cost calculator”.
It's upsetting to see the costs summed up like that. And, keep in mind that I already have a Hidrex iontophoresis device – I did not even include the cost…[Read more]

Mary-Jane Thompson started the topic Dating: how to confess that you have hyperhidrosis? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years ago
I'm seeing someone. It's been several casual dates so far, but things are slowly progressing and I know I won't be able to hide my condition forever. I need advice on how to deliver the news – how to confess that I have hyperhidrosis.
So far it's been easy to hide it because I have axillary hyperhidrosis – so, it's not very visible. My hands and…[Read more]

Lucas replied to the topic The Best Idrostar Model in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years ago
Hey Vivian, I'm back!
Just wanted to update this thread by saying that in the end I chose Idrostar +. In these past couple of months, it really made a difference, especially on my palms! 😀
So, to me, iontophoresis seems like the way to go if you want to get rid of sweating – or at least that was my experience. I even volunteered to blog about…[Read more]

Well, here I am. It seemed like a good idea to share my hyperhidrosis story. Who knows, maybe it will help me connect with other patients or iontophoresis users out there? Please leave comments if you have any […]

Elena V. started the topic Renting an Iontophoresis Machine – Yes or No? in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years ago
This Robert's post drew my attention to a great way one can try out iontophoresis without buying an iontophoresis machine right away.
Since Fischer Galvanic machines are already well known for their quality, I don't mind that they are the only available machines in these offers, but the main dilemma is: is renting better than buying?
To me it…[Read more]

If I remember correctly, I was sixteen when I first started suspecting that something is wrong with the way I sweat. No matter what I did – sitting, reading, walking, running – I kept sweating. My palms and feet […]

Hi Kate,
Welcome aboard. 🙂
Your approach sounds interesting! At a first glance, it seems to me that you are focusing on the fact that to cure hyperhidrosis, one must cure the general imbalance in the body. I will check the website. 🙂
I am into alternative treatments, and this looks like it could be something along that line… -

I ran into an ad with a used iontophoresis machine for sale, so here it is!
To me it looks like a good opportunity for Australians, who would otherwise have to order Fischer from the U.S. For other parts of the world, delivery costs might be too high… Do we even have any Aussie members? 🙂
Anyway, this thread can be a good place to post news…[Read more]

I love the look of their face mask! Looks soft and gentle, instead of resembling a torture device! Lol! (I was a little intimidated by the scary look of Hidrex face mask.)
Of course, design is probably the least important thing… I do appreciate the soft spongy look of the face mask, but it all depends on how durable and good it really is. I will…[Read more] -

Looks like a lovely little gadget, but I failed to find any useful information on this online – I mean, couldn't find anything connecting it to hyperhidrosis or standard iontophoresis. Maybe it would be the best if you wrote to the company directly and asked them?
Also ask if there is a return money guarantee if the device doesn't help you! (That…[Read more] -
