Lucas started the topic The Best Idrostar Model in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 7 months ago
Hi!
Seeing an addition of Idrostar to the website's list of iontophoresis machines, I got curious. A little bit of research led me to discover the existence of several different Idrostar models. Naturally I could be mistaken, but apart from having a different product name, they also seem to look different in the images I found.

Here we can talk about a lesser known natural remedy that helps with hyperhidrosis – Tea Tree Oil.
Good for treating sweaty feet, tea tree oil is renowned for its antifungal effect and the dryness it leaves on the skin. It needs to be carefully dosed to avoid irritation. Even despite this, irritation can occur with some people, after which you…[Read more] -

Mary-Jane Thompson started the topic Is your family supportive? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 7 months ago
When I was younger, I never had the feeling that my family is really supportive of my diagnosis. It makes sense perhaps, because over a decade ago, hyperhidrosis definitely wasn't something random people knew about. Even now, people tell me they didn't even know a thing like that exists! But I digress.
I wanted to say that, as much as I can…[Read more]

I can imagine this happening in cases where hyperhidrosis patient cannot recieve any other kind of (cheaper) treatment. Take for instance that someone's skin is too sensitive and cannot withold iontophoresis; that he has strong side effects of medication; that he's allergic to some ingredient in antiperspirants, and so on – you get what I…[Read more]

Umm, I don't like being the first one to answer and I bet this is going to be a stupid suggestion, but what kind of antiperspirants did you use? I would advise you to use antiperspirants in powder. Waiting for wet antiperspirants to dry off can be difficult if you are sweating so much…
Oh and then don't apply it in the very evening. Catch some…[Read more] -

Degree Clinical Protection smells nice to me. And it's in a powder, something I really appreciate. If you want to check it out, here's a link to its Amazon page.
Of course, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it when I know that your preferences are probably different from mine, but if you're stuck, you can check it out. -

Hi I'm back. Did not log in for a long while, but thanks so much for the kind words and support and friendship requests. It put a dent into my loneliness.
Anyway I have been busy trying to find a job since I could not live off my meager savings forever. Had some success there, now we will see how it goes. So, thankfully a job now stops me from…[Read more] -

A couple of tips on how to keep your iontophoresis device free from rust and other nasty marks of wear and tear. 😉 Ran into this on another site and it seemed like a good idea to share it even if I'm not an iontophoresis expert myself.
– When you're done with the treatment, toss the water from the tubs and gently dry the tubs and the rest of the…[Read more]

JennyDale started the topic I would like to learn more about Iontophoresis Face Masks in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
Hi, looking for info on iontophoresis face masks. I searched through the forum here, but no one else wrote about using one. From what I know, Hidrex produces face masks, and I also saw something about face masks that are compatible with Hidrex and Idromed. (Or maybe it is that Hidrex masks are compatible with Idromed, too?) Please share if you…[Read more]

…and maybe also share a useful piece of information. If you read some of my older posts, you'll know I have head sweating / facial sweating which can really get out of control. A month ago I ordered Maxim Sensitive Wipes and this really helped. I am applying them on my face daily (forehead, cheeks,…[Read more]

JennyDale replied to the topic Is compensatory sweating after surgery unavoidable? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Surgery Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
Hmm, I'd say that compensatory sweating is a common occurrence not just after ETS surgery, but also after some of the other aggressive hyperhidrosis treatments. It's only logical, since the body needs to get the sweat out somehow. People regularly have some compensatory sweating even after other types of treatments (e.g. Botox.)
Ideally, even if…[Read more]

Please don't laugh… I actually tried this concoction an hour ago. It tasted terrible, but I'm hoping to get some results. The whole apple cider vinegar thing is mentioned here, along with sage tea and some other things that should work, so I guess it sounded legit and I wanted to give it a try. After all, I had the ingredients at home so it was…[Read more]

The applicator you linked looks like it could get the job done if you can firmly adjust it to your body. Definitely ask someone to assist you (a family member..?) The same person can also make sure that your applicator is properly wet, and to adjust the voltage and everything after you lie down.
Good luck with this! 🙂

Ouch! Reading testimonials online, I found that some people experienced sore underarms up to 5 weeks after the procedure.
Also, there are reported burns and bruises, something which worries me a little. I would guess that it's no worse than Botox, but I guess I can't be sure, huh? Treating one's sensitive body part to microwaves seems…[Read more]

No, to be honest I don't think I could drink sage tea without sugar. And as far as I know, you can add lemon to your tea – it won't do any harm and might improve the taste. 🙂
To drink hyperhidrosis tea without sweeteners, hmm – maybe you could try Hushed Sea or one of similar blends that use a mix of herbs + sage. In my experience they can be…[Read more]
