I'd like to hijack this thread and add an additional question: can you please add, when listing recommendations, if these teas can be taken without sugar? For some reason I can't stand tea with sugar – I only drink those that are tasty even without any kind of sweeteners.
Elena, are any of brands you tried tasty enough to be taken without sugar?…[Read more]

Ramona started the topic Antiperspirants with a nice scent? in the forum Antiperspirants Forum 10 years, 8 months ago
All professional antiperspirants I used so far had some kind of bland scent… Or even worse, a non-existent or unpleasant scent. :/
Maybe I am way too picky, but it would be really nice to find a clinical antiperspirant that actually has a nice, pleasant, feminine scent. I don't like strong perfumes, and before I started having problems with…[Read more]

As you can see from my earlier posts, I'm something of a nervous freak and often get sweaty when feeling anxious. This sweat is too excessive to be normal, so I pretty much have some kind of hyperhidrosis.
Typically I have excess sweat on my underarms and face, but other areas (like hands) can be affected also.
This all started a few years back,…[Read more] -

Hi,
I would love to learn more about oral medication for hyperhidrosis and I have no idea where to start. Is this even a good method to stop excessive sweating?
For the last couple of days I've been trying to learn if meds make a good excessive sweating treatment and still don't know what to think about it.
Seems like the downside are possible…[Read more]-
What kind of hh do you have? I took oxybutinin which is a generic used for incontinence I believe (I didn't have that issue but it has a drying effect, I'd say its somewhat helpful but its not a miracle by any means!

Hi! I mostly have problems with facial sweating and underarm sweating. My hands and feet can also get bad, but mostly when Iām extremely nervous and anxious. (My hh is often triggered by anxiety.)

Thank you! I added you to my friends list and I'm looking forward to your messages. š
Ah and you're still young, don't let heavy sweating affect your life too much. Everyone has flaws and problems, even people who are not sweating profusely… Nobody is perfect so there's no need to be nervous about your excess sweating. Remember that. š -

Awesome, let me know how it goes! It takes some getting used to since the “feel” is definitely not the same when holding the controller/using keyboard over the wrap with sweaty palms – it's sometimes even slippery if you are sweating profusely. Still, it's a relief not having to trap my sweaty hands into gloves. And replacing wrap is much easier…[Read more]

Here's one very bleak take on that:
Hyperhidrosis can be not only socially a problem, but may not allow people to have careers in areas that contact paper, metal or electrical components.
Hyperhidrosis can also damage clothing, shoes and furniture too.Not very encouraging, I know. š
I you don't know how to reduce sweating on your feet, I…[Read more] -

My life is in pieces. I got dumped 2 months ago and it still hurts. I lost my job less than a year ago and am still unemployed. I know I really lost it because we live in bad times… But for a while, I was pretty frustrated thinking the reason was my excessive sweating. I often had to wear underarm sweat pads and some of my colleagues complained…[Read more]

Hi!
Are there any gamers here? Either way, it won't harm if I share some awesome tips for playing video games with sweaty hands. In fact, I have one ultimate tip, and it boils down to two words: Plastic wrap. Yes, the good old ordinary transparent plastic wrap, typically used to pack food leftovers. How this works:
Keyboard -…[Read more] -

Lucas replied to the topic Fischer Galvanic: Analog (MD-1a) VS. Digital (MD-2) in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 10 months ago
Hi. My opinion is that MD-1a leaves much to be desired. I sweat a lot and I used both R.A. Fischers and MD-2 is a huge improvement – just look at those listed features carefully and you'll understand what I mean if you think about it for a moment. An iontophoresis machine is something you'll have to use indefinitely if you want to stop sweating.…[Read more]

my opinion is that a good Yoga instructor is invaluable. DVDs can hardly replace a real live class
Even when I'm not sweating too much, I don't feel comfortable in rooms full of people, which is why I would prefer taking Yoga lessons at home. I can imagine a lot of people are sweating a lot during Yoga classes, but even with that I think that…[Read more]

This is why strangers make me nervous. I just tend to avoid people I don't know, especially if I'm sweating profusely and drawing additional attention to myself. All of us sweating too much should stick together! As for the topic question… I deal with rude people by avoiding them. Even if I don't know how to prevent sweating, I know how to…[Read more]

JennyDale started the topic Shorter haircut = less head sweating? in the forum Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 10 months ago
A friend of mine (who to be fair, wasn't being malicious but was actually trying to help) came up with a “brilliant” idea: she believes my excessive head sweating will be reduced if I cut off my hair. My hair is currently below shoulder length and her idea is to cut it to a playful boyish short haircut. Emphasis on short. š
I had already…[Read more]
