Oh I don't know… Seems like something that one should give to a buddy who knows a thing or two about these devices (or any electronic device). I wouldn't risk ruining a machine that cost me $$ by amateurishly disassembling it. I don't think it's a stupid idea, however. Just a risky one…

First of all, I love this video on how to make your own iontophoresis machine. I makes the whole process seem incredibly easy, to the point where I was left wondering why don't more people opt for homemade devices… (But yes, I know, portability is a big issue with homemade iontophoresis.)
I would like to know how long the battery life is in…[Read more]

I think you should just stick with what you know. If iontophoresis currently works for you and you are satisfied and have no side-effects, why should you risk wrecking that balance? If you start sweating profusely again, it might take you weeks to get back at where you are now. Just my two cents! 🙂

Tim Fleiss started the topic Iontophoresis treatments at Dermatologist's office in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 7 months ago
Hi,
How do you feel about having iontophoresis treatments at a dermatologist's office? I'm thinking this is a good way to test the waters (pun not intended) and see if your body will respond to iontophoresis. Then again, I also have a feeling that:
a) not many dermatologists have devices in their offices
b) these kind of treatments can be too…[Read more] -

Hi,
I was reading through Drionic iontophoresis reviews and see that many people complain about expensive batteries. Well, there is actually a way around this: Drionic modification. It's an old website, but the method shouldn't be outdated. 🙂
To make things clear: by no means am I recommending this; I just wanted to point out that this is also…[Read more]

Has anyone tried this? Hybresis info
Looks like a special type of iontophoresis, done with a device that uses skin patches instead of water trays. Personally, I think this looks great, especially in terms of portability. Still, I wonder if it produces results that can match standard iontophoresis. The description says that Hybresis can deliver…[Read more]

Hi!
Seeing an addition of Idrostar to the website's list of iontophoresis machines, I got curious. A little bit of research led me to discover the existence of several different Idrostar models. Naturally I could be mistaken, but apart from having a different product name, they also seem to look different in the images I found.

When I was younger, I never had the feeling that my family is really supportive of my diagnosis. It makes sense perhaps, because over a decade ago, hyperhidrosis definitely wasn't something random people knew about. Even now, people tell me they didn't even know a thing like that exists! But I digress.
I wanted to say that, as much as I can…[Read more]

Ramona started the topic Where do you buy these devices? in the forum Iontophoresis Forum 10 years, 7 months ago
What are the best vendors for buying a iontophoresis device? Are there some shops where you live, and then you just walk in and buy one? Or is the whole thing exclusively online? I think I saw that some brands have their own official sites (Fischer and Drionic, I think), but for some of them (like iontophoresis-device) I am not sure if that's THE…[Read more]

Doesn't sound good. I think I can kiss Botox goodbye. Oh well. I just read so many stories about people who got SO much better from Botox and were then dry for months and months… I would love to try this someday, I think. Maybe when I'm older. 🙂

Hmm, Pete, what settings do you use? It's a pulsed current, right? How long are your treatments?
I don't know, this could depend on many factors. Maybe you accidentally changed something in your settings/machine memory – if you're using pre-programmed custom settings and so on…
Or maybe something about the water is different? -
Tim Fleiss replied to the topic Botox health insurance coverage? in the forum Botox For Hyperhidrosis Forum 10 years, 7 months ago
Mine wasn't covered. I think they rarely are. There is no rule here. The main checkbox is ticked: Botox for hyperhidrosis has a FDA approval, so in theory it could be covered by a health insurance policy. Some private health insurance policies might be willing to cover it, but it is still a rarity from what I have heard. As long as there are…[Read more]

Are Botox hyperhidrosis treatments something a common health insurance policy would cover? For example, if the treatment is recommended by a physician and seems like the best or most efficient way to cure the problem?
I am afraid that Botox has a terrible stigma as Hollywood's favorite poison – what if this makes it an undesirable (luxury) option…[Read more]

Umm, I don't like being the first one to answer and I bet this is going to be a stupid suggestion, but what kind of antiperspirants did you use? I would advise you to use antiperspirants in powder. Waiting for wet antiperspirants to dry off can be difficult if you are sweating so much…
Oh and then don't apply it in the very evening. Catch some…[Read more] -

Degree Clinical Protection smells nice to me. And it's in a powder, something I really appreciate. If you want to check it out, here's a link to its Amazon page.
Of course, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it when I know that your preferences are probably different from mine, but if you're stuck, you can check it out. -

The applicator you linked looks like it could get the job done if you can firmly adjust it to your body. Definitely ask someone to assist you (a family member..?) The same person can also make sure that your applicator is properly wet, and to adjust the voltage and everything after you lie down.
Good luck with this! 🙂
