I've suffered from excessive armpit sweating most of my life. Last week I came across “Preventive”/”Zero”, and Aluminium Chloride/Alcohol/Salicylic acid rollon and decided to give up a try.
The first two nights were pretty uncomfortable: prickly heat irritation but daytime sweating was very well controlled. Some research seemed to indicate that…[Read more]

I am also looking for an Iontophoresis device. Iontoderma was my choice, but there are so many people rooting for Pulsated Current devices. Do anyone have any suggestions on what should I buy?

hi
Any form of treatment has some degree of psychosomatic component. A study of the role of hypnotic suggestion in acupuncture was done in a double-blind study setting, which revealed there were minimal effects of hypnosis and/or power of suggestion. Two cases are reported for further illustration. -

I would start with calling medical supply companies in your area. And if you don't have any luck try searching online. I got a prescription from my dermatologist and then had to write several letters to my insurance provider in order to get it covered. It was quite the process but well worth it in the end. 🙂

Hi everyone!
I only just found this community and I wanted to share my surgery story for those of you who are struggling with axillary hyperhidrosis.
I had suffered with hyperhidrosis (triple threat: axillary, palmar, plantar) since I could ever remember and I had tried so many different things to no avail. I resorted to taping cotton pads…[Read more]

Hello,
I'm 46 and I have HH since my childhood. I have tried everything and at the end I had ETS at 30. I feel much better despite of compensatory sweetings however it is very frustrating when it's hot. I thought that it remains till the end of my life but 2 months ago I have read an article about molecular hydrogen pills. I have bought it for…[Read more]

Hi,
This is my first time posting a comment but sorry that I'm a bit late. I only just came across this website!
In response to your question, I've got some good news! I've actually had LSA done and I've been so happy with my decision to get it.
I got it done in late 2013 after suffering with HH for my whole life. I flew all the way to…[Read more]

I would stick with your first choice which is Certain Dri. It's the over the counter prescription antiperspirant that you don't need to get from a doctor. It works for 72 hours with only one application. I never have to worry about leaking though my shirt and embarrassing myself. I by far think that is one of the best antiperspirants for men or…[Read more]

I'm back..I lost my way and so sorry for that!! My sweating has only gotten worse and mainly my face, head, neck, chest, arm pits, private areas, and legs. Nothing on my feet. I did read that someone had to dress in thermal at night because the sweat would make the skin soak in with whatever it was touching and my legs get so soaked when I'm…[Read more]

Very pleased for you Shane, an excellent outcome. 🙂
Wish had been told by the NHS (England) about iontophoresis, would never have had ETS. 🙁
My advice to anyone; avoid ETS no matter what.

Hi Leny,
I just had the 1st treatment done 9 days ago and I'm still sweating badly:(. I would say it's a only 10-20% improvement. I'm really sad and disappointed that the procedure did not work well for me as they do other patients based on their feedback. I'm not so sure if I should get the 2nd treatment or not. It's pricey and also extremely…[Read more]

I had the first treatment done 9 days ago and I am sweating pretty badly. The armpits are still swollen a bit. I would say it's a 10-20% improvement. They say you could experience a hundred percent dry armpits right after the treatment and the sweating might come back a little a month later. I am not so sure if I should get the second treatment.…[Read more]
